Amsterdam, 19 December –Koning & Hartman B.V. acquires indoor communication specialist RadioAccess B.V. to enhance the existing product and services portfolio.
Koning & Hartman becomes market leader in the area of mobile communication networks and solutions.
The official contract was signed last Tuesday by both CEO’s in Amsterdam.

With this takeover Koning & Hartman meets the continuously growing demand for users to be always connected. “The market trends are evident”, says Oswald Coene (CEO Koning & Hartman), “the amount of mobile data we use increases rapidly, so we need to be online any place any time and there is a growing demand for ever faster broadband.  Also the sending of online data needs to be reliable and, most of all, secure. These developments make for a continuous growth of the mobile communication market.  The acquisition of RadioAccess is part of our strategy to keep ahead of current trends and adapt our portfolio to meet the increasing market demands.” As a technical specialist and service provider, Koning & Hartman applies proven technology to supply its customers with the necessary and required reachability and broadband. “We do not aim to be the biggest technical telecom and network service provider, but we do have the ambition to be the best,” says Coene.

Koning & Hartman is not a new player within the mobile communications market. The company has a long history with supplying communication systems within the public safety and public transportation segments and is a specialist with regards to private communication networks and solutions for indoor mobility such as Private GSM, Special Coverage Locations, but also C200, the special mobile network for police forces, fire brigades and ambulances. The expertise and specialism of mobile communication solutions of RadioAccess is a nice addition and will strengthen their position.

The existing clients of RadioAccess, mostly companies within Telecom and Industry, but also many health organizations, provides a lot of new opportunities for Koning & Hartman. Also their innovative solutions such as Private GSM and LTE, Small Cells and Push-to-Talk allow Koning & Hartman to penetrate the market and secure their number 1 position. “There is a lot of synergy and potential for our Managed Services portfolio thanks to the addition of RadioAccess to our company” concludes Coene. RadioAccess will operate as an independent unit of 69 employees within Koning & Hartman

“For RadioAcces this is an important step forward” says Maurits Zandbergen (CEO RadioAccess). “The growth that we accomplished over the past few years is remarkable and the result of the drive and focus of our people combined with our satisfied customers who willingly act as our Ambassadors. Together we achieved our goals. As an entrepreneur it is important to realize when a company is ready for the next phase of growth and then decide in what manner you actually want to realize this growth looking at all the options at hand. Becoming part of the Koning & Hartman family feels like the best choice and a solid base for continuous growth” commented Zandbergen.

Both companies have won multiple awards, amongst others the FD Gazellen Award, for their positive growth in turnover over the past years.
